Blogger Interview With The Best Person Ever; May

So me and my favorite person to fight, May decided to do a blogger interview/collab* thing together. This came about because I know her irl and wouldn’t stop bugging her 😉 It was great because she had her questions written last month and I wrote mine the night she needed them….. And I just finished up this post today after a tennis match…. This isn’t telling about our personalities at all. With out further ado here is the collab I know you’ve all been waiting for.

Le Blogger Interview with Amelie Trash

1. Why did you start blogging?

My main inspiration for starting a blog was visiting April’s blog. I’d always wanted to start a blog, and had started two Weebly ones (that failed). Seeing April’s blog rekindled that want. I guess I just wanted my own little space to write about myself and books and writing and other topics. I also need to gather people for my army when I take over the world.

MWAHAHA

You might want to calm down a little bit there May……. 

2. What’s something you haven’t blogged about but you want to?

Ooh, um… That would probably be… my life. I know, who’d want to know about MY life? Well, one of the reasons this is more of a lifestyle blog and less of a book blog is because I wanted to have some randomness/life posts. I haven’t gotten around to that yet. So yeah. I want to get to that. I also have plans for a writing advice blog series, but I think that’ll start in April, after I get “settled in” a bit more.

I WANT TO KNOW ABOUT YOUR LIFE. Dang it that came off as really creepy also I’m screaming I’m so excited for a writing advice blog series!!!!!!!!!!!! Why can’t April come sooner 😦 …….

3. What do you feel is your blog identity?

MANGOES.

That, and my supreme wittiness.

I have to agree with you about the mangoes but the wittiness part…… (just kidding, love you May)

4. What are some frustrations you’ve found while blogging?

Oh, goodness. I don’t know. Probably some technical ones, like me being #techsavvy and ruining everything, or ACCIDENTALLY PUBLISHING POSTS ALL THE TIME. That happens a lot. I’m so professional. And some other problems I’ve faced is that my posts are ALWAYS long. I mean, honestly, I probably wouldn’t even read all of my posts, because they’re THAT long. I’m working on shortening them. I also found frustration in SO MANY BLOG POST IDEAS (they’re slowly dwindling down now) because AGH I WANT TO POST THEM ALL BUT NO I CAN’T BECAUSE THAT’S REALLY WEIRD AND CLINGY AND NEEDY.

I for one, appreciate your posts being long because I get to read more of your writing… Also it’s great whenever you accidentally publish posts because on my mail app lets me read the whole thing even after you delete it 😉 

5. What are some things you enjoy about blogging/the blogosphere?

I love so much about blogging and the blogosphere! I love the blogosphere itself―there are so many great bloggers out there, and I’ve made so many new friends already! And blogging is just so wonderful, because you get to express yourself. I always love love comments because it lets me know that people have read my posts and actually care enough to tell me how they feel about it.

I did, but if you don’t… I’ll just leave now *sniffles*

6. What are some of your favorite blogs? 

AGH THE TORTURE. HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO CHOOSE JUST “SOME”???

Wow choosing favorites…… Also thank you for the compliment, I am the best and I whole heartedly agree with this list 🙂

7. Is there any reason you might not continue blogging? 

The only reasons I can think of are that 1) all my readers hate me (but that would NEVER happen, right???) 2) I grow so busy and stressed that I just can’t keep up with blogging, or 3) I get bored of it (this will not happen this will not happen THIS WILL NOT HAPPEN).

YAY! I’m happy! I’ll have a great source of reading of forever! (and everly 😉 ) I had to make one of those puns don’t blame me….

8. What’s the thing that makes you happiest about blogging? 

Honestly, comments. Comments TRULY make my days. More than followers, because in the end, it’s not how MANY people like your content, it’s about the fact that people like your content. I think that if people don’t like your content, they won’t follow, but it’s more than that. If someone likes your content and cares enough to let you know/talk about it, that is like the GREATEST FEELING YET. Because you may have followers, but your followers may not always comment and leave you little packages of happiness. To see that someone has read my posts and takes the time to leave me a little something that talks about what they thought of my post or if they agree or what they think―it means so much to me.

(Of course, a lot of followers are nice too. 😛 But comments are THE BEST.)

 

I have to agree with you there May, for me I like comments because comments mean you have friends!!!!! Friends!!!!! I like having blogging friends!!!!!

9. Do you plan on making any changes to your blog/theme/layouts/fonts?

Well, I just underwent a design change last Saturday. I changed my fonts, my header, my sign-off, my color scheme, and I got a new button! I think I will keep this theme, because I honestly can’t find another free theme that I like.

What theme are you using? I always forget.. Also I love your new design change???? Like it’s so professional, I swear you’re going to make a blog post on how to make amazing blog designs (another question how did you get patterns under your widgets????) BUT I’M SCREAMING YOUR BLOG IS JUST SO PRETTY!!!!! 

10. Finally, what is your favorite post? (of your own and one of someone else)

Dang it, there you go with the hard questions again, Amelie. WHY. 

Of mine, I would probably have to say… How to Survive While May is on a Blogging Hiatus + One Month Blogiversary!!! It was super fun to write, and it also celebrated my one month #blogiversary. Also, it’s the post that announced my three-day hiatus, which annoys you [Amelie] to the max so hahahahaha. And of someone else’s… I’M SORRY I LOVE PAPER FURY SO MUCH SO I HAVE TO SAY 10 Reasons Books are like Human Children. Honestly, this is just one of the best posts. 

Hahaha. That’s what you get for being mean like that. And I have to agree these are both A+ posts 🙂
